✨”Don’t you ever let a soul in the world tell you that you can’t be exactly who you are.”- Lady Gaga

✨”Patience, perseverance, and mental strength – they are your biggest armor against all odds.” – Sujata Chatterjee

✨”The path from dreams to success does exist. May you have the vision to find it, the courage to get on to it, and the perseverance to follow it.” – Kalpana Chawla

😶 This seems so surreal.

👨‍👧All I can keep hearing is my dad reiterating his favorite quote: “Where there is a will, there’s a way.” – George Herbert

🎨 I’ve always had a strong pull towards all art forms. Despite what others would think, say, or dictate on how to live my life within their comfort zones, I would find ways to keep in touch with the artistic side of me. I would also unknowingly feel drawn to other creative outlets to stay connected with appreciating the arts such as fashion, dance, and even Occupational Therapy!

🎉 I was curated by Sari Shryack (@not_sorry_art) for the privilege of taking up a 2 page spread in the Spring 2022 issue of an immigrant woman artist-owned and operated art & culture organization that aims to amplify creative women across the globe!!

🥰 Thank you All SHE Makes magazine AND Sari for believing in my creativity & story enough to provide me with this much space!

😱 All these years of keeping connected with the arts, never did I think of having people appreciate my stories, visions, and style to request commissions from me, let alone have my 1st series of digital works be published in 2 magazines – UPPERCASE & All SHE Makes!

😉 Side Note: I also turned these artworks into animated NFTs. Check out the link in my profile to see how they come to life!

👊🏾 Thank you to all my mentors – Rachel, Annamieka, Nneka – for the guidance in helping me revive & re-bloom into the creative individual I have always been, but unfortunately felt the need to shrink parts of.

🙏🏾 Thank you to all of you who choose to follow & support my creative & life journey.

🙌🏾 This was an amazing win for my digital pieces, but I’m not stopping there! I’m looking forward to finishing up the 3 current paintings to have them radiate their magic to the world.

🤯 Wow!! “Dezire Shanti (Desire Peace)” has been receiving loads of love!

🥰 Thank you @pentelofamerica (& judges) for the honor of being picked along with the other talented artists!

😄 Your pens, especially the fine-tip RSVP ones, were a lifesaver for my school days as they are for my creative days.

✌🏽 The first out of 3 digital pieces for my first and ongoing multi-disciplinary series titled “Hu Aatma Chu (I Am a Soul)”.

😬 I was so nervous about bringing this vision, along with this lifelong series, to fruition & sharing it with the public eye. Why? “Log Kya Kahenge? (What Would People Say?)”.

🎨 The series is a lifelong journey in appreciating my special blend of cultural identity (a South Asian Woman born & raised in Los Angeles, CA & residing in FL) while also empowering myself & other women through self-awareness as I work towards a more consistently balanced mind.

🧘🏾‍♀️ This particular piece is about advocating for inner peace, amidst the chaotic nature of the environments and/or situations we may find ourselves in, and radiating it out to others from within.

😉 I’ll be transforming this one into a mixed-media painting too!

🔥 Through the art I create and the occupational therapy services I provide, my aim is to empower others, challenge perceived norms, cause shifts in perspectives, cultivate empathy, improve the quality of life, and advocate for peace.

✨”Art is art, nature is nature, you cannot improve upon it. Pictures should be inspired by nature, but made in the soul of the artist; it is the soul of the individual that counts.” – Emily Carr (Painter & Writer)

✨ “The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance.” – Aristotle

✨ “Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts.” – Rachel Carson (Marine Biologist, Writer, Conservationist)

🤯 Wow! A piece from my 1st series was published in Issue 53 of Uppercase Magazine! This magazine creates wonderfully inspiring books “for the creative & curious”, which just so happens to be one-woman operation! 🔥👏🏽

🤩 This is the perfect 1st piece to have published within the “Garden Inspired” theme of this current issue – specifically speaking to how gardening has influenced or impacted my creativity. 🎉

🧘🏽‍♀️ It is titled “Radiate Roshni” and it is the 3rd work created in my ongoing series titled “Hu Aatma Chu <–> I Am a Soul”.

🙏🏽 Thank you so much for appreciating my art and story enough to be a part of your magazine. I am so grateful to be seen alongside many other amazing and inspiring artists. 💖

🙏🏽 Thank you to my incredible creative mentors. They have guided me into leveling up my creative process and skills to be confident enough in sharing with you all.
